To think that you must be strong at all times is impossible, it’s actually harmful. Ponder this thought, how can you truly know your own strength until you accept weakness?
For the analytical minded, think of the distance between your weak point to your strong point. What is stronger, someone whom always has a brave face or someone whom always gets back up?
Many people ride on the wave of “strength” when things are good, but when things don’t work out as planned they fall apart. What they lack is an internal strength referred to as resilience, a belief in themselves that they can bounce back from anything.
This kind of personal fortitude is what the most successful people in the world have, because their not afraid that failure will destroy them. Furthering the point, Sean “Diddy” Combs said on Inside the Actor’s Studio, “I’m not afraid to fail, I’m afraid of not getting the opportunity.”
Don’t think of strength as something that is represented by your successes, but your ability to face life’s challenges even if they may knock you down.
