Thank You to a Legend: Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs RIP

Tonight after an evening out I came home to check some emails and noticed on my Twitter feed a number of tweets about Steve Jobs. As we all know now, Steve Jobs has passed away leaving many of us saddened. I simply wanted to share my condolence with his family, friends and those whom knew and worked for the company I admire the most. For me, Steve Jobs and Apple have been an inspiration.  It was a legend that I've been able to watch through the growth of my early adult years. A company's philosophy to "Think Different," which I have lived with every day since I heard those words. Barack … [Read more...]

Don’t Be Afraid of Yourselves

If you have never contemplated this thought before, this might be a big one for you, so please read more than once. People's biggest fear in the world is themselves, they are afraid of what they can do and that they will let themselves down. "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. If it was, it would be worthless and you would waste it as quickly as possible. Life is frankly sweeter when you have the patience for things to take their own time. I'm not saying be slow or lazy, but letting things take their natural course is important. People … [Read more...]

How Does Progress Start?

Yesterday I was asked by someone close to me about how you know when progress has started.  The simple thing is that progress starts with action.  Thinking about it doesn't make it anything.  It's like the guy who says "I thought of the iPod first," except Apple is the one who made progress happen. It's important to make a smart decision.  I'm not saying you shouldn't take your time in making a decision, but you can take too long.  If you decide to take a cruise after the ship has sailed, your lack of decision is a bad one in itself. Make a prompt decision with the information you … [Read more...]
